Doha, Qatar: American driver Alex Powell secured victory in the third and final race of the Formula 4 Middle East Championship, held alongside the Qatar 1812 km the opening round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship at Lusail International Circuit.
Powell topped a competitive field of 25 drivers, crossing the finish line in 31 minutes, 20.582 seconds, edging out Italian Emanuele Olivieri by just 1.004 seconds.
Dutch driver Renaud Francot claimed third place with a time of 31:28.389, while British racer Ken Nakamura-Berta finished fourth in 31:32.890. American Augusto Raber completed the top five with a time of 31:36.766.
Qatar's young racing talents also impressed in the final race, with Taha Hasiba, Bader Al Sulaiti, and Tamim Hasiba delivering strong performances. The trio finished fourth, sixth, and ninth respectively in the rookie category, and 12th, 14th, and 20th overall.
The second race of the Formula 4 Middle East Championship saw Alex Powell claim another victory, completing the race in 31 minutes, 43.699 seconds. He finished 0.645 seconds ahead of Renaud Francot, who secured second place with a time of 31:44.344.
Emanuele Olivieri took third place in 31:45.047, while Ken Nakamura-Berta finished fourth in 31:49.677. Lithuanian driver Tomas Stolcermanis rounded out the top five with a time of 31:50.131.
The first race of the championship, held on Thursday, was won by Emirati driver Adam Al Azhari, who crossed the finish line in 32:55.668 minutes, just 0.588 seconds ahead of Emanuele Olivieri. Ken Nakamura-Berta secured third in 32:56.928, followed by Augusto Raber in fourth at 32:57.262. Tomas Stolcermanis finished fifth with a time of 32:57.714.
