Qatar to host Fifth Arab Future Cities Summit on April 11

DOHA: The Fifth Arab Future Cities Summit 2016 will open on April 11 at Ritz-Carlton hotel under the patronage of Minister of Transport and Communications H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti.

The two-day summit will provide an international platform to discuss the ways for transfer of knowledge and reflect on increasing technological and social innovations and transformations in cities. 
It will also discuss implementation of the Arab smart cities development, infrastructure required and issues and challenges and seek solutions.
The summit will shed light on measures and strategies for achieving sustainability and developing Doha into a smart city in addition to the latest trends related to smart cities development. 
It will host several senior officials and representatives from government entities in Qatar and  delegates representing organisations and institutions from across the GCC.
Representatives of the transport and communications sectors will also take part in two-day deliberations.
