DOHA: The Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival-2016 has concluded, with the winners bagging attractive prizes, including a cash prize of QR500,000 and a brand new Land Cruiser VXR.
The concluding ceremony was graced by H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Special Representative of the Emir, and H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President, Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), as patron of the event.
Mesfar bin Marzuq Al Fahadi won the first and second prizes (as he participated with two falcons) and received QR500,000 and QR300,000 in cash as first and second prizes in Al Mazain falcon competition, followed by Mobarak bin Abdullah Al Maadid who ranked third and bagged a cash prize of QR200,000.
Abdullah Fakhro ranked first in Hudadud Tahaddi competition and received a Lexus car and the remaining 17 participants were given away cash awards of QR100,000 each.
In local Al Tala falcon competition, Hamad Saleem Al Marri ranked first and received a brand new Land Cruiser (VXR) followed by Abdul Hadi Hamad Al Hudwan who ranked second and also got a Land Cruiser (GX), Abdul Hadi Ubaid Al Mehran got the third prize and received QR100,000 as cash prize. Sheikh Abdullah Jabar Al Thani got a Toyota G for bagging the first prize in Al Daw local Hur Qarnas competition followed by “Al Zam’ team which ranked second and got Nissan SGL vehicle. Jassem Mohammad Al Kaabi ranked third and bagged QR50,000 as cash prize.
