Doha, Qatar: Spectra Global School in partnership with the Museum of Islamic Arts (MIA) has announced the successful culmination of the “Young Writers” event, held at MIA on May 27, 2024. This collaborative endeavour aimed to foster creativity and provide a platform for young writers to showcase their literary talents.
“Celebrating Creative Expression: Young Writers Competition in Collaboration with MIA” The “Young Writers Competition” attracted enthusiastic participation from students across Spectra Global School and beyond, with entries spanning a wide range of genres and styles.
From captivating short stories to creative writing, each submission demonstrated the unique voice and imagination of its young author.
In Creative Writing Workshops, students had the opportunity to participate in creative writing workshops. These workshops provided valuable insights and techniques to help students refine their writing skills and unleash their creativity.
A panel of judges; MIA representatives; Lisa Rosser, Principal Spectra Global School; and Librarian Saba Hussain carefully evaluated each submission based on creativity, originality, and technical skill. Winners were selected in various categories and were honoured during a special awards ceremony attended by students, teachers, and parents.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with Museum of Islamic Arts to host the ‘Young Writers Competition’. This event not only celebrates the creative talents of our students but also underscores the importance of fostering a culture of literacy and artistic expression in our school community,” said the principal and librarian.
