Qatari driver Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah is looking forward to continue his brilliance this season and strengthening his lead in the Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) in the 43rd Lebanon International Rally - the third round of the 2021 season.
The three-day Rally kicks off today amid wide participation of 27 international drivers. Al Attiyah, who holds 16 titles in the Middle East Championship is competing with his French navigator Matthieu Baumel in a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 car, in order to preserve his title in the Lebanon Rally and maintain the lead in the overall MERC ranking. However, he will face strong competition from the Lebanese Roger Feghali who holds the record for winning his country’s Rally title with 14 titles.
The Lebanon Rally this season will witness distinguished Qatari participation in the presence of Nasser Khalifa Al Attiyah, accompanied by his Jordanian navigator, Atta Al Hamoud, in a Ford Fiesta, as well as Qatari navigator Nasser Saadoun Al Kuwari with Kuwaiti driver Mashari Al Dhafiri in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10.
