Discuss cinema at Ajyal Film Festival
This weekend, head to Katara to catch some of the best movies by local and expat directors being screened at the festival. (Be sure to reserve a free ticket.) Screenings are held at Katara Drama Theater (Building 16). To reserve your ticket, visit the Ajyal Katara Ticket Outlet (Building 12) from 10am – 10pm. Ticket sales will be discontinued 45 minutes prior to the opening of the show.
If your family is uninterested in watching a film, you could drop in at the Ajyal Game Centre to experience how a TV network function and star in their own films.

26th Doha International Book Fair at Qatar National Convention Centre
For all the book lovers in Qatar, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage is organizing a platform to showcase books of 427 publishing houses from 26 countries. The fair will be open from 9am to 1pm and 4pm to 10pm on weekdays and from 4pm to 10pm on weekends.
Get that adrenaline pumping at the Qatar International Dragon Boat Festival
Be ready to cheer and be part of the Qatar’s first boat competition of the season – Dragon Boat Festival where some 450 athletes are expected to compete on boats at the Grand Hyatt Doha on December 4-5 from 8am to 5pm. Head to the main arena of Qatar Equestrian Federation for the 4th National Show Jumping

Get in to your shopping mode at West Bay Lagoon Festive Market
Shop for unusual handmade holiday trinkets and gifts on December 4 from 10 am to 1pm at West Bay Park 10, Lagoon North gate. Also another shopping event is the Maker’s market at Virginia Commonwealth University where annual handmade products are available. This is open to public on December 5 from 11am to 4pm. The event is in conjunction with university’s animal welfare club. And vendors at the market will donate their proceeds to PAWS Rescue Qatar. The organizers are encouraging visitors to bring and donate a bag of animal food. Guess it is time to do your good deed.
Last, but not the least is the reopening of MIA Park Bazaar ?
While your kids enjoy a weekend at the park, you could shop as Museum of Islamic Art Park resumes its weekly Saturday bazaar this weekend, Dec. 5, from noon to 8pm.
