Doha: Doha Metro transports 250,000 commuters on its network on May 3, 2022. The first Qatar Eid Festival kicked off yesterday at Corniche street and saw a huge turnout for the festivities.

The street was pedestrianized in the evening for the various events and visitors were seen using the Metro to reach the venue easily.

“Doha Metro is proud to have transported 250,000 passengers yesterday without a single safety incident, continuing our impeccable record for safety and security, and showing once again that we put our customers at the heart of everything we do,” Qatar Rail tweeted.

The two stations near the venue, Corniche Station and Al Bidda Station, witnessed a large crowd of commuters on their way to and back from the Eid festival. People were also using the metro to reach other venues where activities were organized like the Katara and Mall of Qatar.
