The Nepal Engineers’ Association (NEA) - Qatar Centre has marked 54th Engineers Day on Friday at Radission BLU hotel. The programme was hosted by Kiran Gautam and Vivek Bahadur Sah.
The event was organised to celebrate the Engineers Day with a technical presentation. The programme was chaired by Shrawan Kumar Jha - President NEA-Qatar Centre.
Chargé D’affaires of Nepal Embassy Mani Ratna Sharma attended the function as chief guest.
President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Binesh Tamang, Founder Vice-President of NEA Qatar Centre Ravi Kant Lal, engineers representative from various countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh attended the event. The various programmes held on this occasion. They include cultural show, national anthem, dance and song. Birendra Kumar Sah delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Dr. Shaligram Pokharel gave technical presentation on the topic of project management.
Chief Guest NRNA President, Chairperson have also delivered speeches. Mohammad Ayub gave thanksgiving speech. NEA is an independent nonprofit organisation of Nepalese engineers established in 1962. It represents around 35,000 engineers, belonging to various engineering disciplines including architects, civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics among others and coming from both the public and private sector economies.
NEA is governed by an elected executive council of 15 members, led by the President of the association for a tenure of two years. NEA’s mandates include promoting fellowship goodwill and cooperation assistance among the Nepalese engineers, safeguarding their rights and interests and promoting development of science and technology.
