Coffee, Tea & Chocolate Festival draws crowds with flavorful, fun experience

Doha, Qatar: The highly anticipated Coffee, Tea & Chocolate Festival has returned bigger and more diverse in its 9th edition at Al Bidda Park. The festival, running daily until April 11, 2025, welcomes visitors from 4 pm to midnight.

The popular annual event attracts thousands with its vibrant offerings of coffee, tea, sweets, and food stalls, along with lively entertainment.

This year, around 60 kiosks offer a wide range of international food and beverage options including Arabic, Asian, Latino, and Western cuisines, catering to various tastes.

Visitors can also enjoy live stage performances, DJ music, entertaining parades, and mascot shows. This edition features a specially dedicated playground for children with activities including trampolines (QR25), bouncy castles (QR20 for 20 minutes), Inflata Park (QR30 for 20 minutes), arcade games (QR10 per game), carnival games (QR15 per game), and a slime zone (QR35).

George Bonahad, a manager from the organizing company, spoke to The Peninsula about this year’s attractions. “This year, we feature around 60 booths specializing in coffee, tea, and chocolate, along with a dedicated food court area,” he said.

He further highlighted the importance of offering children's activities to enhance the experience for families. “In addition to kiosks, there’s a large play area and daily entertainment both on and off the stage. As you can see, the festival is family-friendly and especially suited for children,” Bonahad added.

Bonahad also invited everyone in Qatar to visit the festival, emphasizing it caters to all ages. “Whether you have kids or you're coming on your own, the weather in Doha is beautiful right now, so you're very welcome to come to Al Bidda Park and enjoy your time with us!”

Jomil Antonio Moreno, a visitor from the Philippines, shared his satisfaction with the variety of food options available, especially the Filipino cuisine. “There are lots of foods, lots of varieties. You can come here and enjoy the open air,  with coffee and plenty of food options. Philippine foods, foreign foods are available here,” Moreno said.

Alongside traditional coffee beverages, some vendors also offer special coffee blends designed not only for enjoyment but also for health and weight management.

A Filipina vendor representing a Thai coffee brand explained the health-focused coffee choices available at her stall. “We offer different coffees like Coffee Plus, our regular coffee that focuses on weight loss. We also have Collagen Coffee, which supports hair, skin, and overall health, along with weight management. Additionally, we offer Curl Plus, which helps burn fat, aids weight loss, and boosts muscles and nerves,” she said.

Coinciding with the Eid holidays and weekends, the festival’s prime location in Al Bidda Park overlooking the Doha Corniche further adds to its appeal, drawing larger crowds eager to enjoy the festive atmosphere.
