Doha: Amazon Prime's latest sci-fi thriller original, "The Tomorrow War", features scenes of the much-awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Starring Chris Pratt, J K Simmons, and Yvonne Strahovski, "The Tomorrow War" is about a group of time travellers who arrived from the year 2051 to warn that 30 years in the future mankind is losing a war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight.

As shown in the movie, Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) was seen seated on the couch watching a FIFA Qatar World Cup football match between Brazil and an unidentifiable team on a television when it suddenly glitches.

The screen then shows a group of time travelers from 2051 who arrived on the pitch of the World Cup Stadium through a portal during a FIFA World Cup match in Qatar to deliver their message. Banners with the words "FIFA WORLD CUP Qatar 2022" can also be seen plastered all over the stadium as well as the official emblem of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Katara Studios, a world-class film and music production and post-production facility in Qatar, also played a part in the production of the movie.

In a social media post, Katara Studios said: "As the Doha Unit we conducted the production services for the team and want to say congratulations to the family behind this film and their release of a great Movie."

"The Tomorrow War" is now streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
