Ramallah: Two children were injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire on Friday and another was arrested in the town of Ni'lin, west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town center, leading to clashes during which soldiers fired live bullets and tear gas canisters, resulting in the injury of two children who were subsequently taken to the Ni'lin Emergency Center. Additionally, several cases of suffocation were reported.
The sources added that the occupation forces arrested a child whose identity remains unknown, set up a military checkpoint north of the town, and stopped citizens' vehicles to check their identification cards, causing a severe traffic jam.
In a related context, the occupation forces stormed the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah. Local sources reported that an army unit raided the village, searched a gas station, spread out in the streets, and searched several citizens' vehicles without any reported arrests.
The occupation forces also stormed the town of Al Khader, south of Bethlehem.
These incidents come amid escalating Israeli attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, with the occupation forces intensifying raids, arrests, and random shootings in various Palestinian cities and towns in recent months.
