Doha: Former world number one tennis player, Martina Hingis and Dutch football legend, Ruud Gullit have been confirmed as key speakers for ASPIRE4SPORT 2012, the Middle East’s leading sports business congress and exhibition.
Hingis, the Swiss tennis star, who won five Grand Slam singles titles and spent 209 weeks as the number one player in the world, will take part at ASPIRE4SPORT 2012 in one of the conference’s ‘Star Chats’, that will take place next week.
Last year Hingis was named one of the ‘30 Legends of Women’s Tennis: Past, Present and Future” by Time magazine and she now joins an illustrious list of stellar sporting names attending the event. Gullit, a former European and World Footballer of the Year who captained the Netherlands national team to victory at Euro 88, will be taking part in a special ASPIRE4SPORT ‘Star Chat’ on November 14.
The Dutch football idol, who had a glittering playing career winning the European Cup with AC Milan, will be discussing world football’s big issues with Rafael Benitez, former UEFA Champions League winning manager with English Premier League club Liverpool FC.
Gérard Houllier, former football manager of the French national team and Liverpool FC., and former England player John Barnes.
The event will attract some of the world’s top sports business experts to Doha, Qatar next week.
The event will be hosted in Qatar’s world class Aspire Dome from November 12 to 15.
The conference is the only event of its kind in the region and provides a unique occasion for sport’s leading decision makers in the Middle East and around the world to connect, network and capitalise on real business opportunities.
The Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee will be the principal sponsor.
