Doha: The winter sports organised by the community reach out office of the Ministry of Interior in association with Barwa concluded at Al Khor Barwa sports complex. The competitions held were in four categories viz volleyball, cricket, football and tug of war. There were 16 teams contesting in volleyball in which team Airmaster defeated Indo-Arab in 3-1 sets.
The players in both the finalist teams were from VoliQ pool of players which includes former Kerala state youth player Sebin Joseph, former University players Muhammed Rinshad, Abdu Inayat, Shakir, Afsal, Mohammed, Fasal, Favas, etc.
The champions got a prize money of QR3,000 and the runners up received QR2,000. Royal cricket club and Al Khor warriors stood first and second in cricket tournament.
The community reachout office coordinator Faisal Hudawi and higher officials of the ministry distributed the prizes.
