Ministry of Education reviews achievements

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the School Evaluation Office, held a seminar entitled ‘Achievements Day’ during which it reviewed a number of achievements of the competent task forces of the Ministry in various fields, including the revision of national school accreditation standards, mechanisms and procedures for the accreditation of private schools and the revision of the criteria and procedures for evaluating kindergartens and public schools.

The work of the Statistics Committee of the Ministry and two working groups were also reviewed to prepare operational plans for public schools and kindergartens and private schools and kindergartens, as well as discussing the achievements of the working group of the awareness and information plan.

Director of the Evaluation Authority at the Ministry, Khalid Al Harqan, praised the achievements made and the future development plans for the management of the schools’ evaluation, stressing the importance of commitment to excellence, quality and impartiality in the work. 

Director of the Education Development and Training Centre, Mona Mohamed Al Kuwari, spoke on ‘The Art of Managing Change’ and its influential and effective role in all areas of life. She pointed out that the world of management is currently undergoing continuous change, including the process of innovation and development, which is characterised by speed, flexibility and high quality, noting the importance of change management in solving problems and making good decisions. The seminar included a workshop entitled ‘Hand in Hand for Qatar’ by the human development coach Hamza Al Dosari, during which he discussed a number of topics, including the characteristics of the successful team and mechanisms to promote the spirit of work, cooperation and altruism among the members of the team. 

He also discussed the importance of harmony, coordination and flexibility in work, as well as clarity of vision and removal of obstacles, if any, and emphasise the importance of exchanging experiences and acceptance of the other opinion and professional work and objectivity.
