Paris: El Salvador's Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic of Croatia beat Italian duo Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori 7-5, 6-3 to win the men's French Open doubles title Saturday.

Arevalo won his second Roland Garros crown in three years, while the victory completed a career Grand Slam for Pavic, whose four titles have all come with a different partner.

It was a second successive final defeat for Bolelli and Vavassori at a major. They finished runners-up at the Australian Open at the start of the year.
