Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) will host a photo gallery for Syrian artist Ammar Abed Rabbu on Aleppo next March in collaboration with the French embassy in Doha.
Katara General Manager Dr. Khaled bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti said the gallery will be an added value to the series of remarkable galleries held by Katara, which will present a new artistic vision of art galleries in general and photography galleries in particular.
For his part, Abed Rabbu expressed his appreciation of Katara as a cultural edifice for holding various cultural events, adding that he was pleased to have the opportunity to hold his photo gallery in Katara by showcasing the photos he had taken about Aleppo.
Abed Rabbu is a Syrian journalist who has worked in several hot spots around the world, such as Iraq, Lebanon, and Bosnia. He has also covered a number of film festivals and world known fashion shows. His virtual gallery on Flicker was visited more than 1.5 million times and his photographs have been on the covers of world magazines.
