Chairman Luckose K Chacko and Vice Chairman Gope Shahani interact with students

Doha: Showcasing their creativity across all spheres, students of Birla Public School displayed about 2,000 exhibits in an exhibition at the Birla Public School main campus at Messeimeer.

The exhibition was inaugurated in the afternoon on November 5 at a formal function held in the auditorium of the school by Chairman and Board of Directors of the school Lukose K Chacko.

Inaugurating the event Chacko called upon the students to strive harder to achieve the best they could in order to stand high and shoulders above the rest of an advancing and progressing mankind.

He further noted that the exhibition encompassed all the spheres of school life not only sciences, humanities and commerce, but visual and performing arts and physical education for holistic development.

The exhibits covered various subjects with each giving an insight in to current relevant issues related to the topic. While science consisted of a variety of projects including Mangalyaan, bioreactor, piezo electricity, mars rover etc, English took visitors on a walk through countries and times distant from modernity, ‘analyzing a book pyramid and a game hidden in lockers’.

One of the crow pullers at the exhibition was the ‘Melting man’ and ‘horror corner’.

The four-hour-two-day exhibition was garnished with a medley of choice dances, live orchestra and hilarious skits based upon Shakespeare plots. About four thousand parents viewed the exhibition each day.

Gope Shahani, Vice Chairman, graced the occasion. The entire inaugural function was compered by Megha Mibu and Arjun, the head girl and head boy respectively.

Aditya Kerkera, a class XII student, anchored the program and welcomed the audience and Divi Mishra proposed a vote of thanks. Sindhu Manoj, Headmistress, Activities, coordinated the entire exhibition.
