Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.
Following the meeting, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti issued the following statement:
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet was briefed by the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments in efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, and affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures underway to combat the pandemic.
The Cabinet then considered the topics listed on its agenda as follows:
First - The Cabinet reviewed the recommendations of the Shura Council on the situation of Qatar University, and the university's statement, and took the appropriate decision in this regard.
Second - The approval of a draft decision of the Minister of Interior to amend security and safety measures and requirements of Law No. (25) of 2015 regarding civil defense.
Third - The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify an agreement on the promotion and protection of mutual investments between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Kenya.
Fourth - The approval of a draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the State of Qatar and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to manage Qatar-ICAO Developing Countries Scholarship Program.
Fifth - The Cabinet reviewed a report on the official opening of the State of Qatar's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and took the appropriate decision in this regard.
