High-flying Al Gharafa annihilate Qatar SC, Al Sadd down Al Rayyan

Action from the Qatar Basketball League match between Al Rayyan and Al Sadd. Al Sadd won 67-64.


DOHA:  Salem Omar Abdelkader and Saad Abdulrahman Mohamed hit the 20s with ease as Al Gharafa hammered Qatar SC 101-59 during their Qatar Basketball League match. 
Abdelkader produced 29 points while team-mate Mohamed managed a tally of 24 points as Al Gharafa never looked behind in the lop-sided clash at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall. 
Mohammed managed 3 assists also. 
Ndoye Hassino and Galloway Kevin Dwayne both scored 14 points each as Al Gharafa emerged runaway winners. Dwayne managed an astonishing 14 assists also. 
Nayef Mohammed Mahmoud scored 10 points for the winners besides chipping in with 3 assists. Al Abdulla Raslan Rashid scored 6 points. 
For Qatar SC, Jefferson Consteveous scored 23 points and managed 6 assists to complete a respectable tally from the losing side. 
White Malcolm Anthony scored 15 points. Al Muftah Abdulrahman Ibrahim scored 9 points. 
Yousif Ahmad and Abdalla Ahmed Mahmood scored 4 points each. 
In the day’s second clash yesterday, Al Sadd edged past giants Al Rayyan. Al Sadd won 67-64 at the same venue.
Abdi Khalid Suliman scored 24 points for Al Sadd. Suliman also managed 5 assists. 
Saeed Erfan Ali scored 14 points and chipped in with 3 assists. 
Raffa Anthony scored 12 points for Al Sadd besides managing a tally of 6 assists. Kone Mohamed Deba (11 points and 1 assist) also played well for Al Sadd. 
For Al Rayyan, Davon James Dominic scored 21 points and had 6 assists.
Ngombo Tanguy Alban also sparkled, managing a tally of 17 points in the low-scoring game. 
Immanuel Alexander Quintin chipped in with 13 points 3 assists. 
At the same venue today, the U-16 final will be played, Qatar Basketball Federation said yesterday. The final will commence at 5:00pm.
