Doha, Qatar: Birla Public School - Primary I and Primary II campuses organised the Investiture Ceremony 2024-25 successfully and inducted the newly elected Student Council Members on May 30, 2024.
Director C V Rappai and the management representative Chindhu Antony, Principal Dr. Anand Nair, the Vice-Principals Radhika Rele and Edna Fernandez Primary HMs-Anu Thomas & Shruti Boodle, accompanied by the HMs of other sections, graced the occasion with their presence, adding to the grandeur of the Ceremony.
The proceedings of the function commenced with the prayer song by the Primary I Choir under the guidance of Gifta followed by Qatar and Indian National Anthem.
Chindhu Anthony congratulated all the office bearers and wished them to emerge as successful leaders by climbing the ladder of success by pursuing their dreams.
The principal Dr. Anand R. Nair, congratulated the young leaders and entrusted faith and hope in them. He wished the office bearers to ignite their inner strength and be courageous leaders. The function continued with an energetic performance by the Primary II School Choir who sang the song by Gary Barlow and the commonwealth band under the guidance of Geneikam.
The principal administered the oath to all new leaders of the Student Council who were invested by the Board Members and the School Leadership Team. This year’s inductees included- The School Captains, Sports Captains, four House Captains, Prefect- Discipline, Qatar National Identity and Cultural of Primary I & II campuses.
Donning the mantle of responsibility, they also pledged to take up their duties to the best of their abilities. The pride and excitement on their faces were evident as they proudly donned their respective insignia. The Housemasters and Housemistresses were also invested during the ceremony.
The parents of the Student Council Members were also invited to witness this special occasion. The proud parents’ happiness knew no bounds when badges and sashes were conferred on the newly elected Student Council.
The Maiden Speech was delivered by the School Captains, Vaiga Renjith and Sneha Narangoli expressing their gratitude to the school administration, teachers, and fellow students for entrusting them with this significant responsibility. They highlighted the importance of leadership, emphasizing values such as integrity, commitment and teamwork.
They also shared their vision for the upcoming academic year. Their heartfelt address was met with resounding applause, marking a promising start to their leadership journey. The programme culminated with the Sports Captains, Aarnav Premjith & Aaniya Arijum proposing the Vote of Thanks.
