ANKARA: Turkey announced today the resumption of the flow of natural gas through the pipeline between Iran and Turkey after the completion of periodic maintenance work for this pipeline.
The Turkish company, BOTAS, for oil and natural gas pipelines, said in a statement that the maintenance work that was carried out on the Iranian-Turkish pipeline between October, 2-9 has been completed.
The company stated that natural gas started flowing through the aforementioned pipeline as of today.
The 25-year contract regarding export of Iranian gas to Turkey expires in 2026, and Turkey has not yet announced whether this contract will be extended or not.
