Northwestern University (NU-Q) team players and officials celebrate their win in the Qatar’s collegiate basketball league tournament in Doha, yesterday. In the final, NU-Q defeated Qatar Academy 26-21. It was for the first time that NU-Q women’s team took part in either the tournament or in the league. Meanwhile, in the boys section, the Wild Scotts, comprised of players from NU-Q and Carnegie Mellon University Qatar, won the men’s division tournament, beating Weill Cornell Medical College Qatar in the final.
