Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and How Women Work (HWW) Qatar organised a ‘Women’s Success and Wellness in Aspire’ event at the Torch Ballroom in Aspire Zone to mark International Women’s Day.
Welcoming guests at the event, Evridiki Iliaki, a Certified Business and Life Coach and Head of the How Women Work Qatar, said: “This event aims to raise awareness among women that success at work is closely related to achieving a balanced lifestyle, which starts with a having healthy body and mind. I would like to thank the amazing ladies at Aspire Zone Foundation who came together and helped us make this occasion very special.”
The event featured local entrepreneurs and prominent personalities, including Lolwa Al Marri, President of the Qatar Women Sport Committee and Head of Events at Aspire Logistics. The event also featured local entrepreneurs including Ghanem Al Sulaiti and Khalifa Saleh Al Haroon, aspiring Qatari writer Shorooq Al Malki, and the first female president of the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), Milan Arun.
Guest speaker Ghanem Al Sulaiti talked about the spiritual and health journey he embarked on, which led to him adopting a vegan diet four years ago.
Khalifa Saleh Al Haroon shared an emotional memory about his late grandmother at the event, who he described as “One of the first entrepreneurs in his life, and his biggest inspiration.” In her speech, Lowla Al Marri shared details of her success from working in the sports industry and explained her ambition to promote sporting activity among women. Shorooq Al Malki told The Peninsula that : “ Women in involved in each part of a society. I would say a day is not enough for women to be celebrated. Whoever is here today with us is because of a women, I would phrase it as “Women for life not for a day”.
Uzma Shehryar, President of Pakistan Professionals Forum Qatar told that: “I feel very privileged to be part of this event on Women’s Day and would like to congratulate Evridiki Iliaki and her team for organising it so well.”
“We women are soul makers , we die each day to give life to other souls sometimes our children’s, sometimes our parents ,sometimes our men but at the end each women should remember not to lose her own soul and spirit in helping others : Be yourself ,love yourself and help yourself before helping others,” said Sana Salman, General Secretary of Pakistan Professionals Forum Qatar.
