Doha: Al Gharafa basketball team has signed American player Michael Dixon to support the team in the continental championships.
The 31-year-old has played in major international leagues since he began his professional career in 2014, starting with Nymbork basketball club in the Czech basketball league and AEK basketball club in the Greek league.
Dixon played for Al Ittihad of Alexandria and before that with the Italian team Emilia Riggetto and has also played in several European clubs in different countries, including Greece, Lithuania and Turkey, he also played in the World Cup qualifiers against Georgia national team.
The player is considered a great addition to the Al Gharafa club basketball team which won the three championships last season and seeks to continue excellence during the current season.
