Valencia, Spain: Spaniard Marc Marquez of Honda set the pace after Saturday morning's three free practice sessions ahead of the season-ending Grand Prix of Valencia.
Marquez, who already wrapped up his third MotoGP title in four years last month in Japan, achieved the fastest time ahead of compatriots Maverick Vinales, second at 0.103sec, and Jorge Lorenzo, at 0.205.
Marquez, 23, won his third world title with three races to spare and he comes into the Valencia race with five wins in 2016 -- Argentina, Grand Prix of the Americas, Germany, Aragon and Japan.
The title may be sewn up but on Sunday he still has another target -- securing a record 22nd constructors' championship for Honda.
