North Indians’ Association celebrated Hindi Diwas

DOHA: North Indians’ Association (NIA), celebrated Hindi Diwas on September 11 at Asiana Hall. NIA is the only association in Doha-Qatar, which celebrates Hindi Diwas. For the last 15 years, Hindi Diwas is being celebrated to promote Indian national language.  In an Introductory speech, Sudhir Gupta- NIA Vice President briefed about 10th Vishwa Hindi Samelan which was conducted during September 10-12 in Bhopal, India after 32 years.

Highlights of the speech made by PM Narendra Modi was also conveyed. The programme started with the song  Hindi ka jaigosh bajakar Bharat Ma ka maan bade ga written by Mahesh Shrivastava.

Several members and their children recited Hindi poems. Several family games like Hindi Paheli, Ulta Pulta, Buzo to jane, Muhaware etc. tested participants Hindi skill. Students of class 10 and 12 who performed well in exams were honoured. Compeering was done Sudhir Gupta and Kuldeep Kaur Bahl while other administrative responsibilities were handled by Harish Kanjani, Mukesh Singh, Sanjay Arora, Puneet Jain, Monika Modi, Milan Arun, Naresh Lalwani and Abhijit Sarkar and Praveen Sharma.
