DOHA: The Qatar University College of Engineering (QU-CENG) recently hosted the “International Symposium on Joining Technologies and Materials Science.” The event was organised in conjunction with QU Center of Advanced Materials and the Joining and Welding Research Institute at Osaka University (OU), and supported by Chiyoda Almana Engineering LLC. Topics discussed included “Progress towards energy and water security grand challenge goals at QEERI”, “Osaka University: No.1 innovative university in Japan”, “Development of a corrosion free pipeline”, “A decomposition method for surrogate models of large scale structures” and “Corrosion Atlas for different metals and Alloys in Qatar; an example of CAM’s research.”
