Updated on March 20: Qatar Meteorology Department has warned about dusty condition in many parts of Qatar. Strong winds and light rains are also reported from some parts. More rain likely in the night with heavy wind and dust.

As low visibility observed in most areas due to dust, Qatar Meteorology Department has issued warnings to residents in its tweet.
They have provided some useful tips to follow during dust winds.
An edited version goes as follows:
- People, especially elderly and patients of asthma or any other respiratory conditions, avoid direct contact with dust.
- Those who have recently undergone eye or nose surgery also avoid direct contact with dust.
- Wash face, nose and mouth regularly to prevent dust from reaching lungs.
- Avoid rubbing your eyes to prevent eye-infection
- Wear a mask when going outdoors.
- Check with nearest health centre in case any allergy symptoms occur
- Go to the emergency department if you have severe difficulty breathing.
