Doha: As part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility programme, Maersk Oil Qatar is supporting the Qatar International Business Women Forum as Gold Sponsor. The event, which begins tomorrow and ends on October 16, 2012 at the St Regis Hotel, will be attended by leading business people from around the world.
The presidents and members of the Qatari Business Women Association and the MENA Business Women network, and representatives from Maersk Oil Qatar will also attend the
event.
The forum aims to build links between Qatari businesswomen and the rest of the world, to open new opportunities for women in a range of careers, and promote the wider participation and empowerment of females in business and the workplace.
At the event, Maersk Oil will host a discussion panel featuring female engineers who will provide personal views on areas such as the challenges they face in their field of work and balancing work and life demands.
It aims to promote engineering as a fulfilling career choice and start a conversation about the important role that women can and do play in the oil and gas industry.
