Qatar-based Lebanese driver Mansour Chebli yesterday emerged victorious in both Open Class1 and Production Class 1 in his Renalut Clio in the opening round of Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation’s 2023 National Sprint.
At the Lusail Circuit Sports Club Karting Track, Chebli topped the timesheet in the O1 Class, completing the lap in 1:00.845. In the P1 class, Chebli registered a one minute 03.858-second lap to secure his second win of the day.
Chebli’s compatriot Jad Alawar won the Class O2 in 1:00.707 while Darren De Jagger came first in Class O3 with a 1:11.575 lap-time. Qatar’s Maher Serre, driving his Porsche Cayman GTS, won the Production class 2 in 1:03.413, while Hassan Ali Abbasi sealed the win Class P3, completing the round in 1:02.544 in his Lotus Exige. The next round of the popular series takes place on February 4.
