Doha: Minister of Justice H E Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi yesterday inaugurated a legal web portal ‘Sak’ as part of the first phase of developing infrastructure for legal documentation. He also witnessed the first e-transaction.

The portal provides 14 documentation services and soon the ministry will add 16 real estate registration services.
He said the launch follows directives of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to facilitate government services for citizens. The portal is part of Qatar’s e-government strategy 2020, implemented under the directives of Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The ministry aims to digitise all real estate documents. The new electronic system will adopt a one-stop shop system, where citizens can complete all steps of registering a property at one place. Government employees can check the status of any request through SMS and find out any papers are missing or their request is rejected.  QNA
