Aided by the most advanced technology, LG Electronics Home Appliances and Air Solutions Company have lined up new energy efficient durable home appliances.
Easing household chores, most of these products can be operated via smart phone applications, enabling remote controlling in these appliances.
Details of these latest appliances in the production line was unveiled at the media tour organised for journalists from the GCC nations at LG headquarters in Seoul recently.
Foremost among the new home appliances are Dual Cool air-conditioner (AC), which is faster in cooling and designed to work in even the most extreme desert climates; TWINWash™ washing machine enabling washing two loads of laundry at the same time; and Instaview Door-in-Door™ refrigerator which is energy efficient.
Other new products are NeoChef™ microwave oven with a simplified intuitive control interface to streamline operation and a range of hygiene-enhancing features, Hub Robot for a smart home ecosystem and Styler, a clothing care system based on steam technology to keep clothes looking and feeling fresh.
“Most new products are available across all Jumbo Electronics showrooms, Spark Lifestyle Electronics, retailers and leading hypermarkets in Qatar,” an official told The Peninsula. Remaining products have been scheduled to launch in local markets soon. “LG Signature (premium) products will hit Qatari market by third quarter (Q3) of this year and Styler will be also made available after a while,” said the official.
“Video Home & Electronic Centre and Jumbo Electronics is the sole distributor for all LG products in Qatar and has completed 30 years of partnership with LG last year,” he added.
“Dual Cool is a latest flagship Residential Air Conditioning (RAC) solution,” said Scott Jung, LG Electronic’s Vice-President and Head of the Sales and Marketing in the Middle East, Africa and Asia Markets.
He added, “Dual Cool is able to generate faster, more powerful cooling than competing solutions, with its ‘Tropical Inverter Compressor’. The air conditioner can reach the set temperatures 60 percent faster when the room temperature is 46 degrees Celsius or lower, quickly providing the optimal home temperature for users. The new AC is capable to function reliably in temperatures as high as 65 degrees Celsius”
Talking on the feature of new AC, Jung said that the Dual Cool is equipped with an array of smart features, that includes facilities for users to access setup, installation, troubleshooting data and other information directly from their smart phone. In addition, the SIMs chip allows users to easily monitor the status of the air conditioner as well as the current outdoor or indoor temperature from their smartphone.”
LG has incorporated a comprehensive air filtration system, including ionizer, into the Dual Cool in order to protect the health of consumers and their families. The Dual Protection Filter captures dust particles over 10 micrometers in size. Regarding the durability of the product, he said that the Tropical Inverter Compressor 65°C comes with a 10 year warranty, guaranteeing its durability.
Meanwhile, The InstaView Door-in-Door™ is fully compatible with LG’s SmartThinQ®, allowing users to control their refrigerator using their smartphone from outside the home. Users can set the refrigerator temperature, control Express Freeze and Hygiene Fresh+™ operations, and diagnose appliance problems all from the connected application.
Jung said that the LG’s new refrigerators are powered by the unique Inverter Linear Compressor, which helps in 32 percent lower energy consumption and 25 percent less noise, all while providing greater reliability and durability. LG’s Inverter Linear Compressor is backed by a 10-year warranty.
The product has a 33-inch sleek glass panel that allows users to see inside without ever opening the door. The interior is illuminated when the panel is knocked on twice. This allows users to see inside without ever opening the door or wasting cold air, transforming the way consumers use refrigerators from an appliance they have to open to see what’s inside to one they can see inside before opening.
Door-in-Door™ compartment allows users to easily store frequently accessed snacks or beverages. The refrigerator’s storage space can be effortlessly accessed using the Hidden Button under the refrigerator door while also granting users a wider view of the items stored inside, offering the utmost in flexibility and convenience. By reducing cold air loss by up to 41 percent1, the compartment keeps food fresher longer.
“LG’s TWINWash™ washing machine allows consumers to wash two loads of laundry at the same time,’ said Jung. “The LG TWINWash™ combines a full-sized front loading washing machine with a mini washer in a hide-away pedestal, generating a whole new set of washing options”, he added.
The LG TWINWash™ significantly cuts down on washing time as multiple loads of laundry can now be handled simultaneously.
The powerful main washer handles the bulk of the laundry, while the mini washer can be set to run a different wash cycle. Smaller loads can be washed when needed without having to wait until a full wash load has accumulated, saving users time. The mini washer is perfect for delicate or specialized items that require a unique wash setting, such as lingerie or baby clothes.
The revolutionary Inverter Direct Drive motor improves efficiency and reduces the number of moving parts, leading to enhanced durability.
Also to on the production line is the Styler, a steam clothing system that uses innovative steam technology to gently sanitize clothes, remove wrinkles and unpleasant odors with ease, leaving them smelling fresh. The incredibly convenient LG Styler is designed to quickly refresh clothes, making it the ideal cleaning solution for hard-to-maintain apparel such as suits, coats, and even children’s plush toys.
