Qatari superstar Mutaz Barshim poses for a group photo with the Al Rayyan Sports Club Chairman Sheikh Ali bin Saud bin Ahmed Al Thani, Vice-President Ali Salem Afifa, Al Rayyan football star Yacine Brahimi and club’s members during a felicitation ceremony held at the Mall of Qatar theatre. Al Rayyan Sports Club honoured the reigning world champion for winning a gold medal at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games on August 1, 2021. The high jumper, who won a bronze at London 2012 and a silver medal at Rio 2016, cleared a height of 2.37 metres to share the gold medal with his friend Gianmarco Tamberi of Italy.
