Discover a unique shopping and dine-in experience with My Space Café and Concept Store launched yesterday in Staybridge Suites Doha Lusail.
The 24-hour one-of-a-kind store offers both a coffee shop and concept store located in one place. The coffee shop is fully operated by the hotel and the concept store features 18 local and international designers with products ranging from clothes, perfumes, home decorations, paintings, candles, and accessories.
Its General Manager Soha Zahar told The Peninsula: “It’s unique, it’s in a hotel, you have a hotel atmosphere, you have the eating, the shopping. So basically, it’s a new experience and that is what the people are looking for. Nowadays, you want to experience something new, and it’s hassle free, because usually you go shopping and sit in a restaurant, so here it combines both in the same place.”
She also mentioned the store which is located in the lobby of Staybridge Suite Doha Lusail is “a little bit of everything and unique pieces, it’s funky and funny.”
Zahar added the concept came during COVID-19 for designers to have a space to exhibit. “The idea is to encourage designers, new designers, local and international that don’t really have shops in Doha, as well to add a little bit of life to the lobby and encourage people to come, have a coffee and have a pastry and shop around.”
The said designers are a mixture of Middle Eastern and European including Qatar, Lebanon, Greece, and Canada, among others.
Zahar moreover explained that they started with only one designer and it grew overtime. “We started with Paula Bouffard, she’s the first one to exhibit with us, and then it’s a word of mouth, we went on Instagram, we said what we like, what we wanted here and it started growing and growing and we start to approach people that we want to have with us, until we got to 18, and people are still approaching us to have an exhibit.”
Among the exhibitors include Tina’s Fashion Accessories, Le Bag by Pamela Rammouz, Moudi Boutique, Clay Encounters, Paula Bouffard, YOOK, BO TA NY, Shubba Design, Anette!, KnK Kreations, The Soleil Project, Elle Zee Creations, Aeylife, 929design, Kinam Artisan Oud & Perfume, Elisabietta Collection, Born in Qatar, See Eyecare, and Coodee.
