Expected drop in temperatures; Qatar to have colder days from tomorrow

Doha: Temperatures in Qatar will see a further drop from tomorrow until the weekend, according to the latest weather update by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD). 

In a statement shared on the Department's social media, it said temperature will begin to drop further from tomorrow, January 18, until Saturday, January 21. 

Temperatures are forecasted to reach as low as 12-16 degrees Celsius at night while during the day it could range between 18-21 degrees Celsius.

This weather condition, caused by the effect of the northwest winds, will be felt across various regions in the country, especially the southern and outer regions. 

A marine warning is issued for today due to strong winds and high sea. Sea waves vary between 3-7 ft rising to 11 ft by evening. 

The Department recommended avoiding marine activities during this period, such as free swimming, boat trips, scuba diving, free diving, surfing, fishing tours, and windsurfing.
