Moderate daytime and cold nights during weekend: QMD

Doha: Weather conditions during the weekend will be moderate during the daytime and relatively cold at night, according to the forecast by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD). It also further warned of strong wind and high seas offshore from tonight until Friday, February 18.

Temperatures during the weekend will be 15 degrees Celsius at the lowest and 26 degrees Celsius at the highest.

The wind, on Friday, will blow at less than 5 KT at first becomes north-westerly to north-easterly at 5-15 KT inshore and while offshore will be 12-22 KT, at first, decreasing to 5-15 KT later. On Saturday, the wind will blow at less than 5 KT at first becomes mainly south-easterly at 5-15 KT inshore and offshore. 

A high sea warning was also issued for Friday as it is forecast to range from 1-3 ft inshore and 3-7 ft, falling to 2-4 ft, later offshore. While on Saturday, it will vary from 1-2 ft inshore and 2-4 ft offshore.

Visibility during the weekend will mainly range from 4-8 kilometres / 2 kilometres or less at places at first.
