BPS secures top spot at Green Energy Conference

Doha, Qatar: Students from Birla Public School secured the First Prize at the Green Energy Conference Science Exhibition for their working model on ‘Piezoelectricity - Sustainable Energy Solutions’, demonstrating their exceptional innovation and expertise.

The winning team comprised of Aschwin Ravikumar and Umesh Ganeshan from Grade X, led by their mentor,  Kalidasan Shanmughan. The Green Energy conference was organized by the Institution of Engineers (India) Qatar Chapter (IEI) and Federation of Global Engineers (FGE) at MES Indian School.

The project presented by Birlites, which focused on the application of piezoelectricity for sustainable energy, impressed the judges with its technical proficiency and practical implications.

This accomplishment highlights the students’ ability to apply scientific concepts to real-world challenges, emphasizing the importance of renewable energy technologies.

The exhibition featured a variety of models focused on agriculture and sustainability, highlighting the students’ creativity and commitment to environmental solutions.

Each model was carefully evaluated by a panel of judges, setting a competitive yet educational tone for the event. In addition to their success at the exhibition, Aschwin Ravikumar delivered an insightful talk on green energy at the symposium. His presentation won him accolades and prizes for his outstanding contribution to the discussion on sustainable energy.
