Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar has announced Baladna – Qatar’s leading and largest dairy producer – as a founding family member of its initiative.

The museum, the first publicly funded national entity, aims to provide innovative child development settings and resources to support children, families and educators to thrive and contribute to a sustainable future.

H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, said: “Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar will play an integral role in supporting children and families, and advancing human capacity through tailored programming that nurtures learning and development. We are proud to partner with Baladna, a 100% Qatari company that is equally invested in the development of Qatar and is emblematic of our country’s self-sufficiency and long-term goal of sustainable growth”.

Ahmad M. Al Namla, CEO of Qatar Museums, said: “As a founding family member of Dadu, Baladna is contributing to a collective endeavour to enrich the wider community. Their backing and generosity supports our goal to assist future generations to reach their full potential through tailored programmes that optimise learning outcomes for children at each stage of their development.” As part of the collaboration, the Children’s Museum of Qatar and Baladna plan to deliver online workshops for children aged 7 to 11 years old over the summer. The workshops will entail hands-on experiments in which children can learn how to make butter and biodegradable plastics from milk.

Moutaz Al Khayyat, Baladna Chairman, said: “Contributing to Qatar’s social and cultural development through partnership and community investment is vital to Baladna’s identity. We are delighted to be part of this wonderful initiative designed to help children reach their full potential. As a founding family member, Baladna will support the Children’s Museum of Qatar and Sheikha Al Mayassa’s local human and social development program, both of which are cornerstones of Qatar’s National Vision 2030.” Ramez Al Khayyat, Baladna Managing Director, said: “Baladna is proud to be a founding family member of the Children’s Museum of Qatar, designed to develop Qatar’s future leaders. Investing in Qatar’s social and educational development will ensure a long-term sustainable future for generations. Sheikha Al Mayassa and the team at Qatar Museums are constantly striving to develop human capital through learning and development initiatives for all children in Qatar. Baladna is delighted to be a part of this.” With sustainability at its core,
