Registration opens for QLC programmes

DOHA: Qataris seeking a unique learning opportunity, meant to accelerate their leadership abilities while contributing to Qatar National Vision 2030, can now apply online to one of Qatar Leadership Centre’s (QLC) 2016-2017 programmes, which feature modules that enhance a diverse range of competencies and skills. 
Qatari professionals working in managerial and executive positions across all sectors are invited to submit complete application at www.qlc.org.qa by 6pm on October 25.
QLC offers Executive Leaders Programme, Rising Leaders Programme and Government Leaders Programme.
“QLC is committed to supporting the development and growth of the current and next generation of leaders. Building strong national leadership across all areas is of great importance to in our efforts towards promoting sustainable development and enhancing the wellbeing of the country. “QLC aims to develop the economy and society through human capital,” said Dr Abdulla bin Ali Al Thani, Board Member and Managing Director, QLC. 
“We urge all qualified Qataris in managerial and executive positions from various sectors — women and men — to take advantage of this opportunity and submit applications to one of QLC’s programmes.”
The three programmes take place for a few days each month, for 12 months and require a work release for dedicated days during the period. 
Selected participants will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with industry leaders and experts through customised policy seminars and international learning journeys. QLC’s interactive modules are offered in collaboration with leading institutions, such as Harvard University, University of Cambridge Executive Education, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Duke Corporate Education and HEC Paris. Participants are given opportunity to network and exchange knowledge with one another during and after they have completed their time at QLC.
The Executive Leaders Programme is for Qataris aged 36 to 46, who hold a managerial position, have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience and at least a Bachelor’s degree. Applicants must have sound command of Arabic and English.
The Rising Leaders Programme is for Qataris aged 25 to 35, who have a minimum of three years of professional experience and at least a Bachelor’s degree. Sound command of Arabic and English is required.
The Government Leaders Programme is for Qatari professionals aged from 25 and 40, who have a minimum of three years of professional experience, and at least a Bachelor’s degree. Applicants should note that it is conducted in Arabic. QLC’s application process has been designed to thoroughly evaluate candidates for their educational achievements, professional and leadership experience and other competencies. Successful applicants are expected to attend all modules conducted by QLC in addition to their professional responsibilities.
