Doha: This weekend some places is Qatar could get some light to moderate rain, which could turn thundery at times in some areas.
Qatar Meteorology Department said that the unstable weather is expected to continue over the weekend starting Thursday, February 23.
“A state of instability is expected to affect the country during weekend starting from Thursday February 23, 2017 due to the passage of an upper level trough of low pressure,” MET said in a weather report.
Skies are expected to become partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain - mostly light to moderate in intensity, but, may become thundery at times over some areas.
Winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to fresh becoming strong at times on Friday, February 24, and temperatures will be around their average in general.
According to some weather forecast from BBC and Yahoo the temperature could hover around 20-22 degree C maximum and 12-14 degrees minimum.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all residents to be cautious and to avoid going to sea during this period.
