DOHA: Renowned Dutch musician Michiel Borstalp will participate in the second edition of Katara European Jazz Festival.
Netherlands Ambassador to Qatar Yvette Burghgraef-Van Eechoud made this announcement during a meeting with the Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti on Sunday at Katara.
During the meeting they discussed the participation of Netherland in Katara-jazz festival along with Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
Each Embassy will bring one jazz group representing their country to Doha. The event, to be held in Katara, will consist of various evening events by the Jazz musicians as well as several workshops at Qatar Music Academy with local music students.
“Katara is keen to host diverse activities organized in line with its vision of bridging the gap among people and enriching the principles of openness on cultures and civilizations. Katara European Jazz Festival will be a great space for the lover of jazz to meet the prominent jazz musicians and bands,” Al Sulaiti said
