Al Rayyan edge Al Gharafa as Al Wakrah beat Al Ahli

DOHA:   Basketball giants Al Rayyan edged arch-rivals Al Gharafa 70-69 in their Qatar National League game yesterday. 
Al Gharafa’s driving force was Davon James Dominic (21 points and 5 assists) while veteran Musa Yasseen Ismail chipped in with 18 points and 1 assist. 
Immanuel Alexander Quintin (12 points) and Ngombo Tanguy Alban (10 points and 3 assists) also played with intensity at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall. 
For Al Gharafa, Adako Emmanuel Osaro (19 points and 1 assist) waged a lone battle in consistency. 
Saad Abdulrahman Mohamed (15 points and 2 assists) played a capable hand as did Ndoye Hassino who also managed a tally of 15 points and 2 assists.
Galloway Kevin Dwayne (9 and 13 assists), provided slick support in the middle of the court.
In the first game of the night, Saaka Adamu yesterday produced a stunning tally of 31 points while team mate Ndour Mame Souleye chipped in with 22 to help Al Wakrah muscle past Al Ahli 89-66 at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall.  Watson Boney Harold (14) was the only other Al Wakrah player to reach double figures in the one-side Qatar National League clash. 
Soliman Abdelrahman Osama (8) and Abdullah Mohammed Seleem (6) also played their parts well. 
Harold managed an astonishing 9 assists while Adamu had 4 assists as Al Wakrah picked up early momentum to sail through the game. 
For Al Ahli, Joyner Jr Terrence Lavalle (36 points and 2 assists) struggled all alone as Al Wakrah maintained their iron-like grip. 
Seydou Ndoye Elhadj (11 points and 1 assist) was the only other Al Ahli player to reach doubles digits. Elsadiq Mustafa and Mahmoud Ahmad managed 6 points each.
On Tuesday,  Al Sadd and El Jaish posted contrasting victories. 
Al Sadd had to battle for their win over Al Shamal, whereas, El Jaish showed no mercy to Qatar SC in two games at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall. 
On Saturday, El Jaish meet Al Arabi and in the second match, Al Khor take on Al Sadd.
