Doha, Qatar: Qatar Sahodaya organised ‘CBSE Professional Development Programme’ for teachers from the CBSE schools in Qatar at the Basant Kumar Birla Auditorium in Birla Public School (BPS) recently.

Joint Secretary CBSE, Delhi, India Dharini Arun and Principal, St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, Monica Chawla were welcomed by Vice-Chairperson Maria Pakalomattom, Management representative Chindu Rappai and Acting Principal Radhika Rele along with the other members of the school leadership team.

Chawla was the resource person who gave an insight into the National Education Policy 2020.

Arun addressed the gathering and expressed her contentment to know about the large number of CBSE schools in Qatar and urged the teacher fraternity to join hands to impart the best education to the students of Indian community and help them reach great heights in life.

CBSE is committed to train its teachers with the nuances of NEP 2020. The session was attended by teachers from various CBSE schools in Qatar.

 The session focused on the pedagogical changes and innovations advocated by NEP 2020, the implementation strategies and challenges faced by schools in integrating the New Education Policy 2020.

Interactive discussions and activities were held to facilitate a deeper understanding of the policy’s implications and its potential impact on the learners and facilitators.

The session served as a platform to explore the transformative potentials of NEP 2020 and its relevance in the local educational context.

The event also provided valuable insights regarding practical strategies to effectively implement the policy’s recommendations to improve the quality of education among CBSE schools in Qatar.

The six hour training session ended with Chapter Convenor and Principal of Podar Pearl School Manjari Recriwal, Acting Principal of Birla Public School Radhika Rele, Principal of DPS-Modern Indian School Asna Nafees along with other Principals presenting the mementos to the joint secretary and the resource person.
