President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani with officials during a visit to the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.
Doha: President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday visited Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.
During the visit, Sheikh Joaan was briefed on the museum’s holdings and toured its various halls, which included the history of sports in the world, the history of the Olympic Games, the best athletes in the world, the history of Qatari sports, and the important hosted tournaments.
The QOC President expressed his admiration for the museum, praising the efforts of Qatar Museums, headed by H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of the Qatar Museums Board of Trustees.
The President of QOC was accompanied during the visit by Secretary-General of the QOC Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain, the Advisory President of the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani and Director of Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum Abdulla Yousef Al Mulla.
