Dha: It was wonderful to witness the warmth of human spirit at the Qatar Chemical Company (Q-Chem) blood donation day which was conducted recently. So many employees who came forward to give blood that will help save the lives of men, women and children the donors will never know.
The noble act of giving blood made for a fun and busy day in the Q-Chem clinic at Mesaieed plant. The HMC staff stayed late to allow everyone who wanted to participate to give blood. We successfully collected 43 units. The blood units collected has the potential to provide 129 lifesaving units.
Q-Chem’s Chief Executive Officer Saad Rashid Al Mohannadi said: “This campaign is in line with the company’s strategic goals and we are proud of the cooperating with HMC’s Blood Donation Unit due to its significant important role in increasing blood storage which, in turn, will contribute to alleviate the suffering of a large number of patients who need blood on daily basis.” He added that “this step was a part of Q-Chem’s social responsibility, it’s commitment to good citizenship and enhancements of social bonds.”
