Hamilton wins first Qatar Grand Prix; Verstappen second

Doha: Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes won the first Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday at Losail International Circuit pushing Red Bull's championship leader Max Verstappen to second place. Fernando Alonso took the third spot with Alpine, his first podium finish since 2014.

Hamilton’s Qatar win means, Verstappen's championship lead reduced to eight points with two races to go.
