Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone conversation today with the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia HE Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, inquiring about his safety following the explosion that targeted his convoy, resulting in deaths and injuries.
HH the Amir expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the brotherly Somali people, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
HH the Amir affirmed the State of Qatar's solidarity with Somalia and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilising the security and stability of the brotherly Somali people.
For his part, His Excellency the President of Somalia expressed his thanks to HH the Amir and his appreciation for his sincere fraternal feelings towards the Somali government and people.
