Saudi authorities apprehend 25,150 violators of residency and labor regulations within a week

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Field campaigns in Saudi Arabia, conducted from March 13 to 19, resulted in the arrest of 25,150 violators of residency and labor regulations, including 17,886 violators of residency regulations, 4,247 violators of border security regulations, and 3,017 violators of labor regulations.

According to local Saudi newspaper "Sabq," the total number of people arrested while attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom was 1,553. 63 individuals were also arrested for attempting to cross the border illegally.

36 individuals involved in transporting, sheltering, and employing violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations and concealing their whereabouts were also arrested. 

The total number of violators currently subject to enforcement procedures is 3,806, including 3,5795 men and 2,266 women.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the Kingdom, provides them shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any way will be subject to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SAR1,000,000, confiscation of the means of transportation and the housing used for shelter, and public shaming.

The Ministry clarified that this crime is a major offense and a violation of honor and integrity. It urged citizens to report any violations.
