DOHA: Katara is expected to lure thousands of visitors this Eid Al Adha holidays to see stunning pyrotechnics and shadow play nightly.
Katara has prepared an entertaining Eid programme for its visitors, a highlight of which is the shadow play which is a very popular form of entertainment for different ages in various cultures.
There are more than 20 countries known to have shadow show troupes. It is an old tradition which has a long history in Southeast Asia especially in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia.
It is considered an ancient art in other parts of Asia such as China, India and Nepal. It is also known in Turkey, Greece and France.
The shadow play will be staged from 7pm to 7.30pm on the first day of Eid, from 8pm to 8.30pm on the second day and from 9pm to 9.30pm on the third day. DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced that its The Gate Mall, Dar Al Salam Mall and City Center branches will be operational beginning on the evening of the second day of Eid from 4pm to 9pm and the three branches are to resume normal working hours for morning and evening shifts following the Eid Al Adha break.
Normal working hours for the aforementioned branches are Saturday to Thursday, from 9am to 2:30pm and from 3:30pm to 9pm, and Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Meanwhile, QIB e-channels will be available 24/7 to include internet banking, mobile banking, the Call Centre, and over 165 ATMs spread across the

DOHA: Embassy of India will hold an Open House tomorrow to address any urgent consular and labour problems of Indian nationals in Qatar, a press release issued by the embassy said yesterday.
The Open House will be held from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Written information on issues/cases proposed to be discussed with the embassy may be given from 5.30pm to 6pm. This will be followed by meeting with embassy officials from 6pm to 6.30pm, the release
