Los Angeles: Actress Kristen Stewart, who previously dated her "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson and is now rumoured to be in a relationship with her assistant Alicia Cargile, no longer pays too much attention to other people's advise as she just wants to "do her own thing".
"I'm a lot happier and I'm feeling really good. I feel I can be myself more and not allow myself to get side-tracked by other considerations or advise from people," Stewart was quoted as saying by Diva magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"Earlier in my career I had too many people telling me what I should be doing and it was hard for me to deal with all that," she said while adding that she has always been the type of person "who likes to do her own thing."
She revealed that during the peak of her career, she found certain things that she wanted to change about her.
"When your career reaches a certain level, there are so many responsibilities that come with that and sometimes you feel your life is not your own any more.
"That's why I decided to change a lot of things about how I was working and try to be true to myself," she said.
